5 Best Books That Boosted My Growth

“Some books should be tasted, some devoured, but only a few should be chewed and digested thoroughly.”

― Francis Bacon

2017 has been a very productive year for me. There was a significant amount of boost in my knowledge, I learned loads of skills, discovered my purpose in life and it’s safe to say that I became a bit wiser than before. The credit for all the great things mentioned above goes to SELF-HELP BOOKS.

This year, I developed the habit of regular reading and was fascinated to see the results. Initially, I had only heard about the value of reading but as time progressed and read a couple of books, I experienced the benefits of reading (they are huge).

I have put together this list of best 5 books I read this year and believe you should too (If not read already). Following books hugely impacted my life-

1. EAT THAT FROG! 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time

Brian Tracy is a veteran productivity expert and has authored over 70 books (according to Wikipedia). Eat That Frog is the most impactful book I’ve read to date and is the reason why I developed an interest in self-help books. I found this to be the ultimate hack for instantly increasing personal productivity. Every chapter is pure gold and consists of something special to offer.

Author — Leo Babauta

Leo Babauta created the famous Zen Habits blog where he teaches how to live a better life. I gravitated towards minimalism after just reading the first chapter. The art of minimalism is presented in the best possible way. The book offers certain principles by which anyone can achieve more while doing less and you will understand the difference between being busy and being productive.

5. THE MIRACLE MORNING: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life (Before 8AM)

Author — Hal Elrod

Tags– Morning Routine

Hal Elrod a.k.a Yo Pal Hal is the creator of The Miracle Morning blogcommunity and of course the book. Honestly, I’m not regular when it comes to waking up early. I’ve tried waking up early and change my routine before and failed. Now, I don’t even try very hard. I focus on being productive rather than waking up with the sun (though it feels great when I do). But the idea behind The Miracle Morning is fascinating. You will be convinced to wake up early after reading this and find an easy yet effective morning routine to follow. You will be able to create your very own realistic routine which you can actually follow.

Who should read it?

This book is for anyone who finds it difficult to wake up and kickstart the day with an insanely productive morning routine.

Every book has something special to offer but not all books are for everyone. Everyone has different ideologies, beliefs, and values. Therefore, you are inclined to like some books over others. I hope these books help you grow the way they helped me.
